This notice explains how ShootMojo Gear handles personal information when you visit the public site, create a beta account or use the ShootMojo Gear workspace.
1. Who this notice is for
ShootMojo Gear is a pre-launch production workspace operated by the ShootMojo project. The final legal entity, registered address and supervisory-authority details will be added before general release. Until then, contact us through the support route provided with your tester invitation for privacy questions, access requests or deletion requests.
2. Information we collect
We may collect your work email, chosen role and beta-account status; account and profile information; lists, project records, notes, uploaded briefs and documents that you choose to submit; collaboration, sharing and export records; and technical information such as authentication events, device/browser details, logs and security signals.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to operate accounts, provide production tools, match catalogue data, maintain permissions, deliver requested AI-assisted features, respond to support requests, protect the service, measure reliability and improve the beta. We do not treat generated matches, estimates, schedules or safety-related calculations as professional sign-off.
4. Uploaded production material
Only upload material you are authorised to use. A screenplay, commercial brief, client document, equipment list or production note may contain confidential information and personal data belonging to other people. We process it to provide the feature you request and to maintain the workspace. Review your production’s confidentiality, client and union requirements before uploading.
5. Sharing and visibility
Private work is limited by account and collaborator permissions. Public profiles, community items, shared lists and share links may be visible to people who receive or discover them. You are responsible for checking visibility before sharing a link and for removing access when a production ends.
6. Service providers and transfers
We may use hosting, database, email, authentication, logging, storage and AI infrastructure providers to operate ShootMojo Gear. Providers receive only the information needed for their service and are expected to protect it under their contractual terms. The final release notice will identify relevant providers, processing locations, transfer safeguards and retention periods.
7. Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the beta, support, security, legal obligations and product continuity. We use access controls, password hashing, rate limits, audit records and other safeguards, but no internet service is risk-free. Do not use ShootMojo Gear as the sole archive for irreplaceable production material.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and receive portable information. You can also withdraw optional communications. Contact support with the email associated with your account; we may need to verify identity before acting. The ICO describes these rights in its official guidance.
9. Cookies and similar technology
Essential cookies and local storage may be used for authentication, security, preferences and basic operation. Non-essential analytics or marketing technology should not be enabled without the required notice and consent. The cookie controls and final cookie notice will be completed before broader launch.
10. Children and sensitive information
ShootMojo Gear is intended for professional production users and is not directed at children. Do not upload health, biometric, criminal-offence or other sensitive information unless the feature and your lawful basis clearly permit it.
11. Changes
We may update this notice as the beta develops. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced in the product or through the tester channel.
